So how does everyone feel about that? For me we lacked direction in attack and composure in defence.
In terms of attack we bombed far too many chances through bad passes and silly errors, we could have scored a hat full tonight if we had somebody to just provide that killer instinct and capatalise on opportunities.
In defence we were far too nervous, jumping out of the line and leaving gaps for Widnes to go through, That's down to not having confidence in your inside man and poor defensive discipline.

The most disappointing thing is we led 12-6 and then we scored a try that was disallowed, I thought our response to that wasn't good. When you lose a number of games in a row, and close ones too, your confidence can be down. But our resolve wasn't there and we needed to fight harder against that decision.

I thought we actually defended really well for a long period and then they got us with a push over try. We did something like 50 tackles and had the ball for two - defending well - but our resolve wasn't good enough to keep us in the contest.

I thought there were some really good performances and we created two other chances in the first half, got back to 10 behind, made a line break and then we threw it on the ground when we look like scoring in the corner.

We needed to be a little more clinical. When we were behind we played our best attacking football in a number of weeks and that is probably a confidence thing and the fact you can throw caution to the wind.

There is lots of good stuff I can see, but consistency isn't there. We need to get a number of players to marry up.

I prefer to talk about the ones we do have though and I think we are seeing the benefit of the younger players playing more games. Look at Mark Percival, he is playing really well. The youngsters are outshining some of the older ones. The best forward on the field was Luke Thompson who has just turned 18.

But I thought tonight we could have helped ourselves a lot better and come up with a positive result. Things will end up turning out good though.

Gutted again... Definitely light at the end of the tunnel though, credit to young @Luketommo1(Luke Thompson) what an absolute machine that lad is

For those asking about injuries, couple more to return over the next week or two but Robes and Jonny Lomax are still "not short term"

Sia missed the game with a dead leg so will be back for the next game

Roby has an ankle injury and is still wearing his boot and Lomax is as per the info a couple of weeks back - hamstring.
