Seeing young Danny Yates play for the 20's i fully expect him to be our first team number 7 for the rest of the year after Manchester Magic.

Good team effort but just like the first team it shows when our better players are available.

Danny Yates and Andre Savelio player there first games for 8 weeks. And both did very well. Gailbraith, Dwyer, Charnock... lots of them did well.

Wouldnt surprise me to see Andre Savelio get his first team debut in a few weeks time, subject to staying fit and getting the form back from prior to his illness.

If people think Thompson is a good young un, wait till they see the BEAST.

I agree, Savelio is a beast and would be playing if he hadnt been ill. Defo one for the future

Reading the reports before he broke his hand, Danny Yates seemed like he was playing very well.
He looks like a child on his club picture. Is he robust enough to make the step up? If not, I'd definately bring in Charnock for Ashe.

I agree with Charnock over Ashe, he defended pretty well but hardly got involved in attack.

Ashe got really stood up by Moon for one try. Not a huge shame as Moon is class, but when he's not giving us much in attack things like that really go against him.

We've only seen a glimpse of Charnock for the first team, but I inderstand he's a pretty good defender - is that right?

We have had a decent look at Ashe now and I don't see anything if I am honest

Ashe is a full back. He doesn't really have the ball skills for a first team half back. I am surprised he was not given a run over Makinson.

As a stand off Ashe is not good enough but as a Full Back he probably is.

Given the impact Thompson has had I would hope that Savelio gets a go sooner rather than later. I would rather he play that Perry, Laffranchi etc

The same applies with Yates, Speakman and Charnock, it would be silly to break the bank to sign players for these positions and play with part player for the rest of the season if one of these lads is up to the job.
