So what do people think ? Personally I like the look of him so far. He's made a few errors but thats to be expected given he is new into the squad.

I'd like to see us try and do a deal with Dire to get him on a permanent transfer especially if we manage to ditch Hohaia. If Wheeler ever gets fit having Walsh , O'Brien and Wheeler fighting for the halfback spots with Yates and Charnock as backups wouldn't be a bad position .

I think he's done ok considering he's only been here just over a week. He's a little rusty and dropped a few passes today which he shouid be taking but possibly due to not playing super league regular and not up to speed yet.

He looks like a proper scrumhalf, he holds the ball up at the right times and takes it to the line looking for short balls.

His defence and goal kicking is top notch. Very surprised at how good he's defended.

I'd defo take him for the year.

He's alright, nothing more. I don't see the point in trying to get him permanently, he's too similar to Walsh from the stuff I've read about him. He doesn't seem to have any sort of running game and really doesn't impose himself on games.

Good grief. The lad's 21, has played even less at first grade than did Gaskell, has had only one full week of training with us, played his first game at Langtree Park today, had to put up with mid-game changes and is clearly being restricted (since he is reputed to have a good kicking game). What do you expect?

He looks like a skinny kid, yet he's tough. Not afraid to take on the line and also to tackle whatever comes his way. Pity he knocked on a couple of times but he wasn't the only guilty culprit today. Other than that though I think he's doing just fine.

AND HE CAN KICK GOALS!!!

If he settles a bit more I hope he can stay with us a bit longer than his initial month loan as having a young halfback in combination with Lomax who complements Lomax would be good going forward. Im sure he will do his level best to impress given the pecking order at the Wolves.

The end of the season would be nice if the wolves would allow it:

You wouldn't have been impressed by Jesus at the feeding of the five thousand given that he wasn't born in a stable in St Helens..............

I'm on the fence with him (as I've mentioned just in the other thread).

He is a HB and that is something we currently need, so I'm all for giving him a good run in the team as he has shown that he can pass the ball and can kick (things that Ashe cannot do).

Made too many errors today though, mostly unforced and his fault. Maybe it was rust but that cannot be excused by only training with us for a week.

Hypothetical comparison anyway, where would they find three wise men and a virgin in StHelens?

Pleasantly surprised by his defence considering there's nothing of him. Despite a few errors, he looks good to me.
