Mason and Chase kicked off on each other as Makinson went 90 metres.

Makinson took his hatrick well especially for the 3rd try when he picked the ball up on his boot laces while running onto the ball.

As far as team performance.

I thought Wilkin field kicked pretty well.
The forwards made yards however Thompson got bumped off a couple of times a bit too easily. Also Manu and Obrien continued on from last week in terms of dropping the ball in the first half

Josh Jones made numerous breaks and half breaks but lacks the rugby nous to get a good pass to his winger.

Lomax scored a brilliant try.

Rangi Chase tormented us all day, but we hung in there.

Carney for them is a beast. The try he scored he just swatted Makinson off like a child.
However must say for most of the game Makinson got into his legs quickly to prevent him getting any momentum. This minimised his threat. Let him run at you and he is like a run away freight train.

The players from both sides were shattered at the end of the match due to the heat. When Walmsley scored in the final minute. Wello was only 5 yards away from him yet was too shattered to congratulate him. My car was showing 28.5C in Cas, compared to about 26C in St.Helens.

Richards had a solid debut. He is another big lump of a lad. He didn't make big yards forward but he did always land on his front in the tackle which helps ensue a quick play the ball.

I prefer wilkin in the halves, we look much better.

All over the place.
Shared a bit of the dummy half work with Lomax, also looked like did quite a bit in the backrow and also popped up in the halves.

One things for sure under Brown you need to keep your wits about you as to were players were playing.
Josh Jones also was playing scrum half on occasion.

We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

Well would you look at that we are 7th.

I had not realised we where in a position to move up a place. Gives us a bit of a cushion with the Wigan game coming.

Level with Wakefield if they win their games in hand though. Could be 9th soon

Looking at the tries on Sky it seems we may have got lucky with a couple of our tries. Wello's pass to Luke Thompson was farcical, 45 degrees forward and tries for Turner and Makinson where dummy runners ran into the line and took two or three defenders with them. Good job the game wasn't a live Sky game.

None of the tried looked at all dodgy when watching the game live. Fair result, Saints played the conditions better, particularly in the second half.
