Did anyone go?

Me.

England were awful.
Burgess, Tomkins and Hill apart the rest were very poor. They lacked leadership and direction from the halves (despite trying about four different combinations)

Its an unbelievable result and one which frankly makes the whole tournament a bit of a farce. They may as well just play Aus v NZ as the World Cup and put England in with the rest of the semi pro nations. That second tire competition would be far more appealing as any of the Nations who can draw on a few NRL players would have a good chance of beating England. That wasn't far from out strongest possible team and they get beaten by a gaggle of fringe and reserve NRL players.

Australia could put 80 on England if they wanted to.

The England squad looks OK with quite a few good and classy players.

However, the problem is McBanana; he is as clueless as he was at Hudds and got the England job a week before they were going to sack him.
Can't figure out why it was taken from Smith; its not exactly a full time job is it?

His management of the 2008 World Cup team was appalling. Anyone who went out to Australia, and particularly anyone who was lucky!!!! enough to be in the same hotel as the players would know what I mean.

We (England) are still lacking players good enough in key positions #6, #7, #3 and #4.

I went to the Kiwi game at Newcastle, the reported conflict between Leeds and Saints players was there for all to see, I had my photo taken with Jammer and Robes, they where sat apart from the Leeds contingent, not saying who was at fault but, it must have affected team moral and should have been sorted out. :SHOOT:

I remember one England coach (was it Kear, did he coach England?), one of the first rules he set out was that no club attire should be worn at any point during meet ups.

We (England) are still lacking players good enough in key positions #6, #7, #3 and #4.

Ablett in the centre!? Jeez Louise.
Did he spend the whole game there?

No excuse losing to a team like Italy. Wouldn't be surprised if we don't get out of the group.
