League vs Union BBC Debate : Fri Nov 29, 2013 12:27 pm

Not sure if anyone has seen this yet. Good article which all Jonathan Davies, Jamie Peacock, Tulsen Tollett and Jeremy Guscott tend to lean towards League. Also check out the comments session

I think the union boys feel a little threaded at the moment.

Not a bad read that, thanks for linking.

Just makes me think of the missed opportunity last Saturday really was. To see us taking part in a World Cup final on home soil on terrestrial TV would have been the biggest shot in the arm for the game in over 20 years.

All Sinfield's fault.

Something else that shows how important International RL is. Even Jeremy Guscott is virtually saying that RL is a better game! No one cares about club RU but as soon as the Internationals begin everyone jumps on the bandwagon and all of the home nations are able to sell out massive stadiums.

SL cannot compete with this but International RL can start to. We need less SL matches and more top class International RL. England should always play Australia and/or NZ at home every year, whether that be as part of a Four Nations, World Cup or mid season test.

Spot on.

The sooner the RLIF actually do some work and force international windows throughout the season, the better.
