I'm sure he will. It's his choice after all. He's shown this season that he has no personal pride and doesn't care if he's stealing a living and denying others who are more deserving of their opportunity.

Yes, they need to stop letting him pick the team and allow the coach to pick what he believes is the best 17.

Wellens figure also included his gb England and (shockingly) Lancashire caps, and is current on 465 for saints - very similar figures

I doubt he will hit that unless he signs for someone else. I cant see him being given a playing contract at Saints past this season.

Everyone said that last season. But he did. Everyone bar me was convinced he wouldn't play every game, but he is an automatic pick in the 17, even when the whole squad is fit. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see him extend his contract. He's 5 years overdue retirement and it's been that long since he's been good enough to get in our team, but that doesn't seem to matter.
