A bit harsh there mate. Masoe 8? How many minutes did he do? And he tackled Burrow a couple of times. And Sia, I thought we had 2 of him on the field at times.

There's been some tackles made tonight. Wait until the stats are published, I bet there were lads hitting 60.

Leeds had made 600 more metres at one point in the night, and it was 5-1 on drop outs - the defensive efforts from some were immense. Sia in particular sticks out as a mom performance, he was everywhere

The new young dynasty of super saints is coming to a ground near you.

I would give them all 10 out of 10 for effort and the attitude of "we will not surrender".
That was a big performance for mental toughness.

I think Hohaia has to get a big wrap for his kicking game, but I may have gone for Lomax MoM - he got through a lot of grubby work at the back on a grim night.

This reminds me of that derby game all those years ago when a Wigan team full of kids beat us ( Luke Robinson scored the winner). How different it is froma few years back when the likes of Ashurst, Magennis and Foster we're getting bullied by their Wigan counterparts - these youngsters we've got now are burly and determined and went toe to toe with some of the most serious contenders in the game tonight.

Agreed, the current crop look very promising indeed, savelio had a very good debut, carried it up very well after a mistake on his first involvement (all saints greats do that!) we looked more composed and structured with walker on, I thought he had a very good game, and mention needs to go to Richards for going toe to toe with peacock is impressive for anyone, let alone an 18 year old!

But, the way Wellens marked hardaker out of the game, and moved the ball, should keep any knockers quiet - his hit on him in the first half was fabulous! Do you think he was annoyed sky called him "the new wellens" a few weeks ago?

I thought exactly raft but couldn't post about a pie win on a night like tonight!

Also reminded me of 99 GF v the bulls. Hanging in there until taking late chances but with much less big names

I thought my ratings were fair - effort was outstanding but I kept some objectivity. Lomax was bloody close to mom as was hohia and wello.

Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. (Winston Churchill)

Re: Ratings v Leeds : Fri Mar 28, 2014 11:03 pm
That was one incredible match and a fabulous win. What a magnificent team effort. The senior guys stood up, the junior guys played with enthusiasm and commitment. There were hardly any errors or penalties given away. They used their heads. They defended like men possessed. They worked as a team. And we were treated to a couple of moments of sheer skill, in defence and attack.

Wonderful game. Loved it. Amazing.

I don't see how anyone could separate the scores tonight. The one rating needed is the team one, and that would be 10.

Unbelievable.

(Lance for MOM).
