What was the point of Saints winning those games? You were humiliated at Wembley by Wigan both times afterwards.


We'd have given those plastic Mancs a much tougher game at the national stadium than your mob, that's for sure.

The point was that the failure to make both finals consigned Widnes to financial meltdown.

We therefore destroyed one of our greatest rivals.

25 years later and you still haven't got over it.

We,ve put some decent humulated scores against the locals, 80-0 Warrington, 75-0 Wigan, 60-0 Widnes. Talking of plastic, i don,t think it will catch on.

Right, if we're gonna have crazy posts about matches from over 20 years ago can I just join in and have a proper moan about Leigh beating us at Hilton Park in the 1992-93 season by 11-6. That sloppy defeat by a team that hates Wigan as much as we do, cost us the title, were we finished runners up on points difference to a Wigan team in their prime.

Still makes me so angry to this day.
