Anyone see the u19's tonight ? : Fri May 30, 2014 10:28 pm
Seems we had a young lad called Grace Regan playing for us tonight a young black lad on the wing from South Wales. How did he do? i know he scored a 90 metre try but how was hid all round game ?

Seems saints are looking at South Wales. 4 players from Newport are currently playing for Newton Storm U14's ready for there Saints scholarship next year.

Presume its this lad

5ft 7 is a bit small for a winger as is his weight of 10 stone wet through.

Might be better suited to fullback in the modern game.

Skillful and quick. The winger scored a cracker.

Ones to watch.

Nah. That can't be! I thought all Wigan under 19s players were as fast as Usain Bolt?

Hello guys and girls, a Welsh fan here. I've seen Regan play numerous times down here and he is a talented kid; one in which I hope will flourish in a professional environment.

As someone has mentioned he is small, but that's something that can be used to his strength and he can be bulked up with age. You've also got Calvin Wellington, a centre, from us in your 19's, another decent lad who's always given his all when I've seen him.

Good luck and look after our lads

I saw the full game and the lad who scored the long range try was very quick. I know the Salford U19's and they have some very quick lads and they couldn't catch him.

In terms of the game Savelio was poor until he got close to the opposition line, certainly not what we have seen in his brief stint in the first team. Didn't run or tackle with any aggression. Just wondering if this is symptomatic of all our forwards in general.

I think it's pretty obvious something's going on in Savelios life/ training at the moment, between his cryptic tweet and his performances, there are obviously other issues at play I'd say. Patience is the key, I'm still sure he'll be a superstar!

People forget he had a very very serious illness last year which I think will take a long long time to recover from.
