Opta Team of the Season - James Roby : Thu Sep 25, 2014 1:34 pm
The Opta stats-based team of the season has been published. We only have one player in it, but the numbers are interesting. The majority of the team (9 of 13) have scores in the low-mid 500s. Another three players who have had outstanding seasons (Hardaker, Peacock and Farrell) have scores in the low 600s. Which leaves James Roby, with a score of 724.75.
I know stats don't tell you everything, but they do tell you something. For Roby to score around 20% better than the next few best players in the team shows just how phenomenally consistent he is. I wonder if the Man of Steel judges will take these figures into account? http://www.totalrl.com/super-league-opt ... am-season/ |
