...less said about that game the better!

Our discipline was shocking and we made so many errors.

Obvious positives was our defence and line speed. Great stuff. I also liked how we threw the ball about and really utilised width. Like the saints of old!

Bring on Salford.

One of the worst games I've ever been. It was stop start, it was scrappy, it was slow!

We didn't even have balls on the field for scrums or taps.

Re: Well... : Fri Feb 06, 2015 11:16 pm
When it came together it went really well I thought, it's just the times when that happened were way too far apart! It was scrappy but we saw it through, which was the pleasing thing. We seemed we were still in preseason mode at times, lacking a bit of urgency to finish off breaks etc.

Swift was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet, I think both occasions deserved a closer look at then they got, and he carried it out really well (minus the one stone cold blunder). Him and Turner look to be building a good relationship which looked positive to me. Vea seemed to get through a lot of work and gave me confidence I was right to hail his signing - still not sure if he's an 80minute player though. Greenwood seemed a bit anonymous which was disappointing given his preseason form, cats are a tough pack though. Lomax and the starting front row should take the credit for tonight though.

Ref managed to be too lenient and picky at the same time but the less said about that the better

I thought Turner had good enough ball to have done better. I'm not saying he played bad but I expect a top qualify centre to do damage with the ball he got today.

We just couidnt get going. They was dropping like flies which made it stop start. Even packing down for a scrum seemed to take an eternity Today. The game was so slow and boring I was glad when it was over.

Probably fair about turner, but as you say there was so much stop start I'm not eager to bag any player really, it was a tough day for everyone, including those who are watching! If it's the same 5 weeks down the line I'll start to worry :)

As deserves noting, Roby had made 47 tackles in 50 minutes according to Sky, so it'll be interesting to see if he hit the record, and deserves credit for keeping us going at times!

We seemed a bit directionless and leaderless when Amor left the field which was my major concern.

I think we leave Amor on to long and then leave him off to long. The subs wasn't great by KC tonight. Sav did about 15 mins. Mose did about three 5min stints and lance didn't do many mins.

I bet we played a Hour with just mose coming and Richards used. Mose looks like he's done pre-season in KFC or the top just doesn't do him justice

Wasn't massively impressed with Mose tonight, he had a nice offload for one of the tries though. I'd of said his and Sav's performance were on par. His scrapping at the end was unnecessary (though understandable given the frustration that was tonight).

The substitutions baffled me - what role was Hohaia playing? He jumped in at dummy half, but only when Roby let him - very strange :? My only guess is the prop rotation was disrupted by the sinbinning, but it was a mistake not to get Amor on. He's capable of doing 50-60minutes imo and he should, him and Walmsley were fantastic

Roby definitely had done 60 tackles because they mentioned it in commentary, but I can't remember whether it was with 5 or 10 minutes left.

Jesus tonight we won our first game of the season against one of our rivals for SL by 4 try's to 1 and you're whining like a woman.

Not a pretty game they early season games usually arnt. Despite the drama in the Wigan game last night i thought that was a poor game aswel.

We won the game, 2 points and now bring on Salford.

It's clear as day that our strongest team when fit is Walsh for Wilkin, LMS for Richards and Thompson for Jones. I thought Wilkin was awful tonight.
