had the chance to see the second half of the Catalans v St Helens game and the first half of the Souths v St George-Illawarra game on the weekend.

I thought St Helens looked flat and lost a bit of direction without Luke Walsh in the side. Goal kicking was woeful and needs to improve to take on a sharp shooter like Adam Reynolds.

South Sydney on the other hand looked sluggish and too were without their star halfback Reynolds.

What chances do you think St Helens have of winning this battle of the championship holders?

It'll be very tough. The system always favours the British teams as we'll have had a couple of competative games beforehand. That said, they have a few players who are just freaks. I can just see Swifty and Percy trying to bring down Inglis ....

I certainly don't think its undoable, we've arguably taken on some more star studded Brisbane sides and won.

We were sloppy at times during Catalans, but when it came together we looked very good. We just can't afford any stupid moments (of which we had a lot on friday)

Can't really comment on Souths, but we all know what we're up against with a Maguire coached side
