I'm a bit surprised that nobody's started a should we shouldn't we try to sign Fages thread.

Anyway, I have now, so should we or shouldn't we?

Us coordinated folk discuss such matters in the rumours thread. Whilst I'd love a backup halfback, I don't think £700,000 for Theo would be good business.

Feel some club will pay the money the Doctor will want to sign him first, Fages was offered a really top salary to stay as well.

No one in any code either side of the world will pay 700k for Fages or anywhere near. It's a Dutch auction - and even then Fages can refuse to go to the highest bidder forcing koukash to settle yet further

I'd like to see him at Saints but for something like 50 or 60k tops , maybe add some extra's in for appearance milestones , cups, championships etc. He would get plenty game time given our injury record and might develop into our first choice 7 at some point.

For me, because he,s behind Case and Dobson then 100k tops. Not seen him really control a game and plays similar to Lomax when he was tried out in the halves.
Sounds as though the Doc has destroyed Locke would have gone for him but McDonnell is doing OK at the moment.
For Salford there is no stablity there, the Doc seems to have very little man management skills with the regular turnaround of coaches and players.

Agreed.
He is still young but unproven at the highest levels but apart from our team shortages, I cannot see any other reason for going for him.
He is not an improvement to what we already have (including our injured players that is).

£700K is simply crazy; £70K perhaps.
