I would play Danny Richardson next game, not only is he a good talent but he can't be worse than Walsh.

I felt for him a little during his mad moment of thinking he had a free play. Only in League could we play to various sets of rules around the world.

Other then that though he was pretty ordinary but I'd throw that even more so at Wilkin. That's a forward playing in the halves and the least you'd expect is some tough, aggressive defence but he looks nervous of contact. He was far from a leader out there. It was lads like Swift and Thompson who seemed to want to take the fight to them and play with some urgency.

I gave Walsh hell last week but I'm going to stand up for him this week. He actually committed to tackling, he made sure his hands got on the ball and he tried. It was not Walsh turning over possession.

Yes the free play kick was bad but no one else even the fans seemed to be aware we were under different rules. No doubt as we do nowadays we will just criticise the team but for me the key last night was not building any pressure on their line. For that look at dropped balls etc and any mistakes we made were pounced on by Sydney in a way that SL sides rarely do.

I agree. Walsh effort was 100% better this week. He actually got stuck in this week but still very poor with the ball.
