Sid Waddell is darts. Darts was a pub game then Sid Waddell created Indoor League for Yorkshire Television (presented by the greatest cricketer ever) and since then with the help of Sid amongst others has now become a sell out Arena sport (PDC anyway the BDO is crap) - Gary Hetherington won't have it but it's more popular than Leeds Rhinos.

The man is a genius and a master of the one liner. A Cambridge graduate (who organised the first inter-collegiate darts tournament) and accomplised writer the man is a legend in the true sense of the world.

A resident of Pudsey he is without doubt THE greatest sports commentator of all the sports even more so than Brian Johnston and Eddie Waring.

TBH, his constant stupid one liners and blatantly biased love-in with Phil Taylor are just deeply annoying.

A great commentator should not show bias to one person/team and he clearly does.

He is a bit biased towards Taylor I admit that but Taylor is so much better than anyone else - ever.

Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse 'The Body' Ventura were pretty awesome, marginally better than Gorilla and Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan. That was Sports Entertainment though.

No matter how good Taylor is, I said that good commentators should be impartial. He is clearly not.

In fact, I am surprised he can even see what is going on with his head stuck so far up Taylors' bumhole.
