Havent read any of the posts apart from the OP's but dont results 9 times from 10 come from a good performance?

As per some of the posts above.

The question has to be put in context. After a run of poor results (like now) but improving performances it has to be the result.

If we had a couple of "lucky" wins (we should be SO lucky) without the performance and I'm at Odsal watching ... I'd want to see a good team performance.

When Tony Smith was in charge of Leeds he made a statement to the effect that performance is more important than results on every occasion. Needless to say there were some predictable responses on southstander

No, Leeds and Saints are different at the moment. Against Celtic, Salford and Catalan we can afford to play below par as they are below the standard of the rest of the comp. Then there are 9 teams who can all beat each other if they put in decent performances. Then Leeds and Saints are a bit ahead at the moment. We still need to put in a decent performance against the middle 9 to be in with a chance of winning though.

I agree, I bet the team does aswell. You could see how much it meant to them a couple of weeks ago, a couple of wins in a row might give us the confidence to start defending and stop knocking on.
