How about that he is entrusted to look after the best interests of this club and he is failing on all parts. He has allowed sub standard transfers and is continuing to tollerate a sub standard coach.
A good manager would assess the situation and would make necessary changes as a result. Obviously the chairman is a cock just like you!
Stop me if I'm wrong but I was always fairly sure that personal insults of this sort were against the rules on this message board???
Anyway, in response to your essay, I agree that the contiuning 'tollerance' (sic) is at this stage perplexing, but another perfectly reasonable reading of the last few years regarding the chairman's decision making is that in not knee jerking to bad results he has shown a long term loyalty of the sort that is frequently cried out for by other teams and other sports. It does look to have proved to be mis-placed loyalty, but far more vocal and qualified people in the game have backed Macca over the last few years, so an understandable position.
Similarly, I would be far more concerned if our chairman did have a veto over transfers. Once the coach is in charge this is his domain and should be exclusively so.
Hopefully now the chairman will assess the situation and make the necessary changes, and having shown that he will be a loyal boss then at least in that respect we will be attractive to prospective coaches.
