Link It's an interesting arrangement. Perhaps other SL clubs should look at similar arrangements? For example us and Halifax. It gets our up and comers a better standard of competion and so gets them better prepared for SL and it gives the loaning club a few more options

Except it never actually came off. Halifax would be a non-starter anyway - quite apart from all the historic reasons, they have clawed their way back up pretty impressively, and are likely to be knocking on the door of SL - if they don't win promotion end of 2011 anyway on their own account . With us sort of propping it up right now, too small a difference I'd say for it to have any attractions for them.

don't we pretty much have this arrangement unofficially with fax already? the minimum months loan bit isnt strictly enforced afaik.

I'm not sure those Fax players who can't get in their first team would be too thrilled being loaned out to the Bulls.
