Same thing happened in the Norwich Newcastle game. If a league player ever did that he wouldn't be allowed back on a field. I'm sure RFL would throw in a few game ban as well.

There is an old story in Welsh rugby union about Paul Ringer being sent off for laying someone out when he clearly didn't
He was picked out because it usually was him.
When he got the red card he went back and kicked the player up teh backside saying "I'm not going off for nothing"

I'd have no chance in football because I would go knock him down again if he fgot away with this.
