Cripes, that was dreadful. Kear, as usual, tried hard but your backs were pathetic. Stevie Wonder can see that Gaskell is not a FB, Foster makes Newlove look like Rocky Turner. Donaldson might put in everything but he is just not big enough & I am not sure he ever will be. At least young Paul Deacon tried hard when he came on, belatedly, in the second half.
Unfortunately you look like a team with the heart that Cummins showed as a player.

But they have no excuse for that, and it is hardly the first time.

'Inspiration's is a good word. It sums up something intangible which makes a group of people believe in something no matter how irrational.

We seem to sum up the opposite. Timid, hesitant, self doubting. They're not great players but what we're seeing is less than the sum of its parts.

I've said it plenty of times this season, the players are all looking for someone else to do the hard work rather than take on the mantle of leader themselves.

We're not creative enough, we're not positive enough, we lack even the most basic of fundamentals.

I'm sorry, but we're relegated. Forget the appeal, because even if we get back all 6 points, this team doesn't care enough to fight to stay up

I thought Fakir had started to show signs of taking on the role of pack leader and the others had lifted around him. I suspect we'll look more competitive down the middle once he's back. What to do about the backs is another question entirely as nobody seems to have stuck their hand up to drag them around.

Well you'd think that'd be a job for Luke "I'm gonna be captain next year" Gale. But I don't think he could lead thirst men to a tap let alone lead a team of disillusioned rugby players to victory

As we have been discussing the transfer of Peter Fox to Halifax. It may be remembered that his original namesake when coaching us had the ability to make his Players think they were better than they were, and as a result THEY WERE!

We need that thinking at the moment, as this De Ja Vue to the pre Mick Potter days is getting to all our supporters with 230 plus points put past us since the Wigan debacle.
