Ryan Shaw should be kicking goals for you if he's playing, My mate at Barrow said he's the best goal kicker he's ever seen based on his kicking for them last season with

We're a bit spoilt for choice for kickers for a change. Mullaney, sjelka and shaw are all decent kickers. Not sure shaw will be an automatic selection whereas sjelka and mullaney will be when fit so expect one of them to be regular kicker. Good to have backup options though.

It was good to get out and see a game of rugby after such a long gap. Also good to honour Andy Lynch.
It was difficult today to tell which was the Championship and which was the Superleague side. OK I know it was only a friendly but that still bodes well. As previous posters have said I thought Mullaney was great and Shaw looked promising. Who was the young lad who kicked a 40/20 - was it Nathan Conroy? I thought he looked lively.
I think Karl Davies will be immense for us this year. I thought he looked a handful in attack and defence and showed a good passing game. Tahroui might take a little longer but also showed good signs. A good hit out for us, I just wish we didn't drop the ball as much as we did in the second half.

I think it was Siejka who kicked it, and from my perspective he looked a better bet than one or two Wakey. supporters would have us believe.

From where I was sat he got the sin binning spot on.
..

Tansey is a past master of that type of play. If an eleven stone rookie player comes up against an experienced 14 stone centre, who would hold who?
My thoughts are that if this is part of the new rulings, which if we looked at the Widnes v Warrington game in which 3 sin binnings were given by James Childs, would this be a ploy by many players, and if an important game was in the melting pot, would we be happy with a rule that depended on individual referees interpretation? ie how long is holding down, 2 to 4 seconds 6 seconds?
So with all the crowd seeing something different just what makes these sin binnings fair or sensible. I personally wouldn't want to have paid to see my team decimated by 30 minutes of a game with a player or even two in the Bin, so whilst the Bulls game didn't matter in terms of a result, it certainly mattered to young Adam Brook as he knew he wasn't guilty.

To be fair I think Siejka did struggle for them last year. But I think half the reason was he came in when the season had already started, had no pre season with them, couldn't get any consistent combinations going with the team. Not surprising he struggled really.

With us he's had off season surgery, a full preseason to gain fitness and combinations. He will be playing with the same HB partner week in week out. Add some confidence in as well. Makes a huge difference.

I think the fact we had more or less completed our team/recruitment before pre-season began will make a huge difference.

Cannot wait for the start of the season!

The phrase politically correct is in itself politcally incorrect so should be rephrased politically stupid!
