I think that's true. IIRC Premier stopped showing it mid season in protest at not getting a chance.

Premier Sports never got a chance to outbid Sky, and they were quite shoddily treated in the whole thing - although IIRC they never paid a penny for the Championship rights, just covered broadcast costs which shows how much demand there was in the past.

I found the point about people cancelling in Bradford interesting - OK probably a bit tounge in cheek, but it's entirely possible we might be on Sky more in 2015 than 2014 - or at least as much. Last year we were on absolutely bare minimum as far as I can remember - 1 x Home (Hull KR?), 1 x Away (Wakey), 1 x Magic (as does everyone) 1 x Catalans away (as does everyone).

We're on once for the Championship bash - we'd only have to feature three times in the super 8s or - (dare to dream) the million pound game to equal that. Not beyond the realms of possibility. I'd bet anything that if we met Wakey in the Super 8s, Sky will put that on.

Fair point.

I did consider binning Sky, in fact I was pretty much going to do so, but as the wife [?] pointed out, I/we do always watch nearly all games anyway, so we may just as well keep it on. As pointed out, we'll not see that many fewer Bulls games anyway. To be honest, due to missing a lot a lot of live games by going to Friday night Bull's matches I'll actually be able to see far more this season than previously.

My binning of sky sports is not just that Bulls won't be televised, but that it's a league I have no interest in generally. In fact I now have to sneer at it and call it superdooperleague.

We've all signed that contract so don't go watching that top flight muck or you'll be in breach.

I stopped Sky sports when it was decided that the Bulls would no longer receive the full funding as the other SL clubs (at that time). I actually would love to watch the SL games but since we are still receiving less from central contributions than SL clubs then I will continue with my nose off and face spited.

So for example is your average Bulls fan still interested in watching, for example, Saints v Warrington? I personally will keep an eye on the 4 we'll be playing but the top of SL holds no interest for me.

Is it really just me on here looking forward to SL next season? I will still watch every televised SL game next season and I'm really looking forward to it. In some aspects even more than usual due to the fact that we won't be involved at all, so I'll stop looking at things on how the affect the Bulls and can just enjoy watching a game of rugby instead.
On top of that I'll have all of the champ rugby to catch up on as well, provided I can actually watch more than just the games I actually attend!
There's also the NRL which I will catch as much of as I can, and the Dick Smith 9's tournament starts in a couple of weeks which was absolutely brilliant last year.

I guess I just love the sport.

Well, I'm pretty average and would like to see all the top games between the top clubs. I can't see myself getting excited by such as Salford VS Widnes or Wakey VS Catalan though I'll also be interested in the results, scorers and match reports. Plus a peek at their supporters comments on their forums.

You can, of course, record the live games, though you may need to tw.at spoilers

Indeed. Hearing the result does spoil it for me, to be honest and my major problem is going on the coach - there are always a dozen or more who will scream the scores out and even with earphones pushed into my inner ear it's still pretty difficult not to hear it, even with Bon Jovi at full volume.... :BOOHOO:
