Hi folks, yes its been a long winter but its nearly time for the familiar RAB Predictions League to begin!!!This season we're taking a wee break from Super League and will be focusing on the Kingstone Press Championship (for obvious reasons).
Each week there will be six fixtures for you to predict. All I need is a winning team (or a draw) and by what margin (e.g. Leigh vs Bradford - Bulls to win by 50).
As a reminder here's how the points system works...
Correctly predict winning side - 1pt
Correctly predict winning side and the winning margin - 5pts
Correctly predict a draw - 10pts
Correctly predict every game in round - Double points awarded (based on your basic weekly score)
Top weekly points scorer will also get a bonus 5pts. If there is a draw, a tiebreaker will be used to decide who wins.
As per previous seasons there will be a top 12 play off. However, with the new league format there is a change to the process.
The league will be run over the first 23 weekly rounds. The top 12 predictors at the point where the leagues break into the Super 8's will then enter the usual play off series which we've had for the past few seasons. The play offs will be head to head battles and will be decided by predicting game outcomes from the middle Super 8 fixtures.
Simples??? Its almost as easy as the real thing!!!
The Cup Competition also returns at the same time the Bulls enter.
Everyone is welcome to play regardless of club you support.
