Half backs aren't meant to be big. They're meant to have ball handling skills, kicking skills and organisational skills.

I really don't, that's the worrying thing! But of course his overall build can be made into whatever you want with a few stretches and a milkshake, so that's not relevant.

Terrible decision to take, especially without giving him a run in the first team.

What is it with us developing these youngsters only to let them go before they get a shot. Bastian has a job persuading young guys with potential to join when this happens.

Brook and Conroy may well join the long list of ex-Bulls who have come back to bite us on the ass later in life!!!

Add this to the fact that those who seem to be impressing on the field get shipped out/forgotten due to bad form (or is it falling out with Le General???) al a Samir Tahraoui, Lucas Walshaw, Ryan Shaw, Etu Uaisele, Chris Uluigi and Dan Fleming... yet work shy fat arses like Lauaki and Crossley get the nod week in week out.

Really torn at the moment between wanting to do well and go up... or staying down and us getting shut of Lowes who I'm fast becoming disillusioned with

From what I saw of Brook he was very small and slightly built. If he was 5'9 then I'm 9'6.

He had plenty of pace tho and I can't see how he'd have been that worse than Siejka.

Lowes has to make a judgement on the young players witha limited budget. We all have our questions when it comes to how he rates certain players so I guess we'll see. The fact that no bigger club than Keighley wanted him suggests he might nof be that good.

It's strange how fans can often get a wrong idea about the size of players.

Many years ago, Northern used to have a half back called Bakery Diabira - or little Bak, as he would always be called by fans when describing how some big lummox on the opposition team had given him a clout. I once found myself next to 'little Bak' one evening in the queue for the Gaumont [as it then was], I was [and still am] around 5'10 [and a bit..] but 'little Bak' was at least four iinches above me. Of course, in the land of the giants, standing next to some big prop he looked quite 'delicate'....you just tend forget how big some of those blokes are!!
