I bet there's hell of a lot of part-time players that have a similar clause so it's not quite the same as a player wanting too exercise a clause in his contract and leave Leigh tho is it
Isn't it usually termed along the lines of, "if a super league club comes in for them"? I'd guess there is some kind of, 'standard' form of words throughout the sport, but surely a contract can be, pretty much, anything the parties involved to it, agree to.
Wonder if there will be couple more going out on loan to make room for any newcomers??
True but unless O'brien gets injured, looks like he will play in every game again this year, most will be 80 minutes and then we'll wonder why he's knackered come the middle 8's.
I'd much rather see Lumb come off the bench during games to spell O'Brien. It's the best of both worlds. He gets experience and O'Brien gets spelled.
Mind you O'Brien should be 100% fresh at the moment with last week's game being postponed. I hope Lumb gets a run whenever we play Oldham in the re-arranged game.

This.
We dont need to rest OB entirely. But we also dont o play him for full 80 every week and burn him out like last year. Its a balancing act between the two exremes and it's too early to say whether weve got that balance right or wrong yet. This week is one where we need OB to do full 80, We cant afford to have a hooker on bench when we're already light up front against Batleys pack. Then give Lumb some gametime next week in cup.
