Wigan have fined Bateman £10,000 and suspended him for 8 weeks. Back available for selection on July 22nd, just in time for their game against....St Helens

I guess he's not going to Leigh after all.

That's a huge fine, potentially the biggest in Super League history I think? Big statement made by Wigan. As HamsterChops said, would the same sanction be in place for a fringe player?
