I opened my music player on my PC to catch up on some podcasts about half an hour ago and worlds collided a bit. Scroobius Pip interviews Rob Parker. No idea about Pip as anything other than an interviewer, but I do like him. Very long form though. Very interesting. Highly recommended.

Give yourself a wedge of time though. It is pretty much two hours.

The stuff on prescription drugs (about 50-55 minutes) is fascinating.

Been there. I got addicted to prescription drugs before and after a back operation. I took them for months as directed by the doctor. I only realised there was a problem after my back improved and I stopped taking them. The following week was one I'll never forget.

Doctors should explain the problems of taking them for long periods when they prescribe them. I didn't have a clue what was happening at first.

Rob Parker is a very interesting guy. I'll listen to it all when time allows. Cheers

He sure is/was. My mate was a sponsor and Rob took great care of him. He was brilliant at his role, the sponsorship deals and the corporate sales he negotiated were a lifeline.

He was a huge loss to the club (in my opinion)

He fed us inside info all the time - so yes - a very interesting guy.

Remembering what he said to us during the Lowes/Ferres partnership - the outcome hasn't been much of a surprise - same as his departure!

Pips a bit of a jack of all trades in the entertainment industry, big wrestling fan, he had Jericho on his podcast and vice versa earlier last year which was quite interesting listening to them back to back, especially the story of where his stammer came from. It's worth digging out.

I'll do that, cheers. Jericho's usually value for money. I have at least quit binge listening to wrestling podcasts hunting for Vince stories now.
