While trying to not sound like a broken record, Rugby League is dying in the UK. The RFL surely recognises this, and can't possibly let a possible fanbase of 10,000 that the Bulls could possibly regain (again) disappear.
Having said that, these were the people who suggested that if the Bulls did go their fans would probably support another team.....
I did report what I'd been told some years back that the RFL were happy to see the demise of the club, and whether or not they were, certainly so it has come to pass. What they did in particular with Omar (no money, and the share sale block) was particularly fatal, and last year's wheeze of -12 points AND forcing us to play in the Championship with no team, was just the final coup de grace. They HAVE let a 10K plus fanbase largely disappear. It'll be a long wait before we have 22K plus at a home Rhinos game again. What with low gates and the litigation, I am not confident that without some mystery money from somewhere we have even got the cashflow to keep batting in league 38, or wherever it is we now are.
