I might be mistaken, but the last year of the agreement has been good for both sides. The initial sponsorship payments were made to old company so having them as main club sponsor brought no financial gains for Cha-Lo.
The agreement that Provident would still appear on clothing and stadium meant they didn't necessarily lose out on all the investment and it allowed the New Co to find a new main shirt sponsor for much needed income. A win-win for both parties and fair play for them being grown up to accept this arrangement.
Can't think of many sponsors we have had that have interacted and promoted the club as much as Provident have. I understand that many had/have reservations about their business but I think it will be difficult to find such a good company to work with moving forward.
