Well at least he's admitting it was woeful.....!

Maybe it will force a big "look in the mirror" session with all the players.

You could argue another stuttering semi-acceptable performance would have papered over the cracks for another week. Lets hope this blows everything out of the water.

Can't say it's been that much of a shock given the way we finished last season and appeared to have done hardly anything to strengthen in the off season.

But his excuses are still there. "We've taken positives" "we know what we did wrong" blah blah blah.

There comes a point when you just don't want to hear the same sad bleeting anymore. Because all that happens is it's the same words over and over and over again. Nothing changes or will change until McNamara either quits or gets the boot.

He doesn't refer to either of those statements with regard to Sat.

Agreed but he's referring to the previous two games, I guess he's clinging onto the fact that we seemed to hold our own.

I really do worry for us when we come against another good attacking team, us having the ball therefor not allowing them to score is hardly a major positive when we seem clueless in attack.

Yeah - it helps us in a number of ways like......

a. being embarrassing.
b. putting a big negative in our points against column.
