Anyone seen the Guardian article with Dr Koukash, can somebody put the link on here, I don't know how to do it(yes I know I'm thick)

I think the guy is great,if only he had saved us and not Salford. Think he can show a few at the RFL how to get things done, brilliant article.

When he says "offers Super League clubs an uplift of 63 per cent in annual distributions" I wonder if this means we all get 63% more money than now which would raise the £1.2m up to £1.96m. If so, the Bulls will feel like they have won the lottery after these last two years on £600k. It is starting to look vital that teams stay in SL.

http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2014/f ... rd-rfl-sky

Good article and I am slowly changing my mind about this guy. He talks a lot of sense at times and doesn't care who he upsets but I do wonder how long he will stay around if Salford don't win anything or he doesn't get his own way. I would still prefer a Bradford born Northern / Bulls fan with his money.

Hope they dock them both some points. That will really show them who the boss is.

I like Koukash & remember objecting to some of the pseudo racist plays on his name which seem to have largely disappeared now he is saying things some of those same muppets were grunting about the RFL. But I see very little in this article at all. Basically a very rich man not happy that he isn't calling the shots & can't buy his way to immediate success.

I think bumbling Brian has set a lousy precedent. When the votes were put on hold last year there was agreement that nothing would be said until after the World Cup. However several club CEOs / owners favouring the handouts they were promised were continually in the press pushing the RFL line. Not once did barwick publicly criticise them. The bloke is a hypocrite. I suspect lenegan (and Dr K) will still be in RL long after barwick has gone.

To be honest it depends on how the money is spent as to whether the clubs are better off or not. I appreciate we're in a competition with the RU, and to a some extent with top players, with the ARL, but if all the money disappears into players pockets then we're wasting our time. Some of this money has to go into the infrastructure of the game, particularly junior development and, for clubs like us who can't get a sponsor to do it for us, ground improvements. What it shouldn't be about is just SL clubs flashing the cash at players.
