If the administrator is trying to offload our highest paid players, and Foster is the second player to leave, I think that speaks volumes about why we're in this mess to begin with. God help us if he's on a wedge.

I heard Wakefield are gonna start buying up our terracing, we won't need it and they will!

Foster had done his interview in the T&A many weeks ago about how he wasn't going to leave.

So that's one box ticked.

And he was in T and A today saying about the team spirit and the fight to stay up.

Does the player have a choice if the administrator says im releasing you from the playing staff as we can't afford you?

The admin is still be bound by employment law, so would have to pay their contract up (or come to an agreement with the player) which wouldn't save anything. Selling them or allowing them to leave for other clubs is the only way to let them go.
