Was a lot of championship sides left in when we got drawn. I was hoping for Keighley. But could be worse.

Depends which Catalan turn up, with a full squad i fancy us for that but I've seen it go sour all to quickly before.

And in all honesty, we are not going to win the cup so it is really just an added distraction. But a home tie! What's that all about? Two home ties on in a row? First time since 1837.

Winnable game in the next round of the cup. Catalan have potential to give us a good game, but we have the ability to cause an upset.

Could have been worse, but could have been better


One major positive to take is that we should be a televised game, brings in a bit of cash

We won't be televised. It will be Leeds v Saints. They only do one now.

For us it is not about winning the Cup, it is about trying to get to the cashpoint ie the Final. I said before today that we have a great chance IF the draw worked out with lower teams going through, and IF our own luck held.

I see that the quarter final draw will contain 2 non-SL sides so if we reach it we have a fair chance of reaching the semi by drawing a non-SL side, alternatively, the non-SL winners could draw each other which would leave 1 non-SL side available in the semis.

Unfortunately the draw was not the best for is, so our Cup run may well be over, oh well.

But it could still have been a lot worse; we are at home which is a big thing, and we don't know which Catalans will turn up. But it is a shame we didn't get a Wigan or Warrington stylee bye.

Not a bad draw , should have all squad back by then. Get In to next round and still a couple if non super league teams in the draw. A few games in the cup will bring in some more money and keep our momentum going.
