Looks like they have promoted Rowley's assistant and appointed Neil Jukes.

Good luck to the guy but from reading the press release it doesn't sound like he has had much 1st team coaching experience, and with all those volatile characters that even an experienced coaches have struggled with, can't help think this will benefit us.

He's also going to be without one of the other assistants on matchdays for a bit. Paul Anderson (not Baloo obviously) has copped a 4 match touchline ban for abusing the match commissioner at the game against us in the Super 8s.

I wonder which off field member of the club will get a fine or ban this season when we play there? Seems to be tradition.

I wonder if the buffoon will get his tracksuit on and be the assistant coach for the first 4 games

Hopefully we have got wise to your coaching staff and their little games

I presume they promoted Jacks in the hope he can provide a few Seasons In The Sun like his grandad Terry

Jukes' appointment has given Leigh stability and continuity. A new coach could have completely changed the way they were going about things but this appointment means that virtually everything about the team will stay 'as is'. Rowley and Jukes had worked together as a team for about six years. I think you would probably find that Jukes' input to that partnership was pretty significant.

The other side of the coin may just be that they actually improve under his guidance!
