Well, having had a look at the current Super 8s fixtures, if the season ended now, it is looking more impossible than the impossible it was looking before.
In SL, there is now a big gap between the bottom 4 and the rest.
In both SL and Championship, there can still be a lot of jockeying for positions.
But, if the season had finished, here's the fixtures as they would currently be:
How much money would you put on the Bulls (or any Championship club) making the MPG?
Home to Salford, Leeds and Fax Away at Hull KR, Leigh, London and Huddersfield

Oh I'd put plenty of money on a championship club making the MPG. Winning it? That's another story

Its about picking off HKR or Salford, for me either could go in free fall but as likely to go on a great winning run. You never know what could happen with Wakey though.
If Salford end up in the middle 8s they will walk it. They were good enough to avoid the mpg last year despite their showing up at Odsal, and this year they are a much improved side. If 3 of the bottom 4 in SL end up being Salford, Leeds and Huddersfield then this whole facade is going to be exposed well and truly as the sham it is. If one of those manages to overtake Wakey then I still feel they will be too strong for the champ sides.
So I guess that leaves Rovers, who seem to be even more inconsistent than we are, which takes some doing. No idea how they will show up for the rest of the season, or the middle 8s. They're still too good for us, and probably too good for Leigh as well if they can get some bodies back before the big games.
We might scrape 2 points against a championship side at a push. However I think that’s unlikely if we play like we are at the moment. We’ve no chance versus SL opposition, those games will be massacres.
If those are the fixtures they'll kick off with us v Leeds at Odsal. It is therefore on us to dick Leeds while they're still overconfident. It's for the good of the game.
