Just looked on Bulls website and it's still going to be £22 to stand on the terraces for the championship shield. obviously the club need every penny to survive but charging £22 is a huge deterrent for the walk up supporter. The first home game is against Halifax and will be interested to see the crowdas the league fixture had over 6k last month. with Marc Green in Ibiza all summer do you think he might be looking to see if there's a positive reaction to his statement? fans in the ground at 2pm drinking and spending more money in the club shop on merchandise. Looking at Featherstone and London crowds for the shield last year saw them practically halved. So 3k for the Halifax game won't be good. I think the club could get more people through the door charging £15 than £22.

Why would they change the price from the one they calculated they needed? What is it about the fundamentals that has changed?

Because people are so disillusioned with what has happened this season they won't pay £22 to watch Bradford v Swinton, Oldham, Halifax in the shield at Odsal. how demoralising it could turn out to be to see under 3k in odsal for these games.

Indeed. So in this atmosphere of fear, uncertainty and doubt let's do something that smacks of a panic move. That will de-demoralise.

Crowd size has no effect on my morale, sorry. Low priority issue for me.

I fear such a move would lead to us losing money as the walk ups that would be coming anyway would pay less and the loss wouldn't be made up by those taking advantage of coming on the cheap. Let's face it these games aren't big crowd pullers. I don't see 500 supporters out there waiting for the price of the game versus Dewsbury to come down by £2 before they rock up.

We are where we are. The prices will be what they need to be to run the club as a business. If they come down the club will need to be sure they can attract enough new people to make up the difference.

I think the free tickets for schoolkids is an idea. Each ticket holder would have to be accompanied by a paying adult. School holidays now so an opportunity there. Give out vouchers in the T&A for U16s. Valid for each home game, entry at Bullboy gate so accompanying adult can be verified.

Don't season tickets include these games. In which case they couldn't seriously undercut the prices for walk-ups.

Having Odsal whist being successful is liveable,but without success it is unsustainable without a larger than life Godfather.That is,I'm afraid, the lot of a Bulls fan.Proud of the history of the old ground but realistically there comes a time to rebalance and re-evaluate.As it stands the fans support is fundamental for survival so if we don't stick with it,
we will sink.
