Reported in league express he's on the verge of signing for Huddersfield (surprise surprise) for a 6 figure sum.

Shame as I don't think it's a good move. They're developing Reiss Butterworth well by sending him on D/R to Workington Town...

6 figure sum is a lot of money for an 18 year old though.

I don’t think we are in a position to turn down a six figure fee for any player in our squad. Especially one who is out of contract at end of 2020 and could go for nothing

Shame but it's not the end of the world. If we get 6 figures as reported it's good business.

He's only played 2 first team games.

Always a shame to be losing highly rated prospects.

Don't think many teams would turn down six figures for most players, let alone an 18 year old that's played 2 games.

Cas signed Zak Hardaker for not much more.

Wilson is very highly regarded by our youth set up. It’s never easy to see promising academy players getting poached to play elsewhere but six figures, everybody has a price.

I completely understand Wilson’s aspirations to play in Super League but come on, Huddersfield?!

Agree with others, always sad when you see highly rated players you've developed move on. But £100k (if correct) we can't turn down. He could leave for nothing in a year and there's no guarantee he'll make itin the big time . Though i do feel he will make it as he is very highly rated. But we'll continue to develop and bring others through after him.

Coaching staff were talking Keelan Foster up at the start of the season as well.
