NIGE OUT : Wed Jul 13, 2022 11:13 am
Seems to be a very common topic around the Bulls Forums
Obviously the Twitter post about liquidation yesterday said he is looking for a route out and Koukash was mentioned..I would love to see us handed onto a worthy owner, if there is someone still on this planet that would honestly like us to move forward and grow again.
I personally think the manner in which he gained ownership of the club was at best unconventional at worst corrupt.

1) Nige has overseen a fire sale of our best young prospects to KR that would have been the base for an SL team (The spine of the 2019 Leeds beaters)
2) watched the standards within the business fall to all time lows by employing volunteers in key positions
3) Driven the standard down in the football department to the worst seen in living memory by most supporters
4) As a result of the above watched the crowds fall to what must be dangerous levels financially

The above four bullet points are only a fraction of why I believe the big man must do us all a favour and hand on the baton before we go the way of the Bluseox.

There is a lot of the "just be greatful" squad have turned in opinion and can now see the writing on the wall if he doesn't go.

What do you guys think?

Would you be happy to see koukash in? or a supporter owned Model?

Or give Chris Caisley a call?

Koukash is always trundled out isn't he. Can't see it happening. Last I heard Caisley wasn't in the best health. He'll be retired or near to it by now anyway. We need his younger equivalent.

I could get behind a supporter owned model. The days of hoping a cashed up Ken Davy type will save the day are over. At least there would be some transparency and new standards could be set from the off. The problem with this is that you come down to finding the right people with the right expertise with vast amounts of time available to devote. Do those people exist? I came across a few in my years with BullBuilder and BISA but many are now disillusioned. Some still volunteer and have more honesty and commitment than most. It would be a big job to take on and would have to start from scratch away from Odsal and all the baggage that comes with it.

The twitter post was a complete lie designed to stir the pot. Anyone that thinks there was any truth in it needs their head checking.

Nothing to stop me creating a new twitter account and posting the same about Wakey for instance

I do question the intelligence levels of elements of our fan base sometimes

I'd be happy to see Koukash, Trump, MBS, the Qataris, any combination of Mexican and Columbian cartels.

Yeah give Chris a call - don't accept a 'no'.

I can’t see a fan ownership ever working for the bulls at Odsal. How could that complete with the big hitters in this league which is what fans are demanding.

I’ve always wondered why Mike Ashley never got involved. He loves scooping up crippled businesses.

I'm not saying there was any truth in it, what I am saying is we are not very far off oblivion and nigel is the pilot.
The only way I could see out is removing him.

Re: NIGE OUT : Wed Jul 13, 2022 10:54 pm
Nigel Wood has another company called “global rugby league solutions” which was interestingly setup in 2017 (less than a year after Chalmers setup BB 2017).

Does anyone know what this is? Looks like assets of 300k but not sure what this is as there doesn’t seem to be any information about this company online.

Wood didn’t stand down from the RFL until 2018, perhaps the new company setup in the knowledge he was leaving shortly after,

Could be a complete coincidence that it was setup in the same year as the new club under Chalmers.

It wouldn't compete with the big hitters. But it would be open and transparent and there'd be no illusions of "aiming for SL". It'd also be untainted by previous regimes etc.

Obviously I'd prefer a Ken Davy to appear like a white knight riding to our rescue but can't see it happening. In fact I don't think the club has ever had a wealthy owner. I don't see that changing with a recession around the corner either.

Blimey, I've never found this forum as gloomy, it really does feel as though the end is nigh (or should that be Nige?)
Got to admit that I'm struggling to justify forking out 40 quid for me and my daughter to attend the next game, especially as living in Haworth, Cougar Park is looking more appealing than Odsal right now. And before I'm accused of being a fair weather fan, I've supported Northern / Bulls for 50 years, and even before then used to go to games at both Odsal and Lawkholme Lane before I committed myself to the red amber and black.
Very very sad state of affairs. :DEPRESSED:
