You've got to love people commenting on the quality of a performance without having seen it.
Brief summary from where I was sat was that it was a genuinely dominant forward performance - lost count of the number of times that KR players were halted from full pace by Burgess, Langley, Scruton - with a lack of penetration from the backs.
IMO we looked much better with Menzies at SO and with Sykes at FB.
Play like that all season and we will win far more than we lose or draw.
KR can be pretty pleased with some gritty defence but they made a lot of handling errors.
So all in all a pretty typical first match of the season and, in line with all of the teams seen on Sky so far, looking a bit rusty.
Summed up today the lack of class and pace we have in the backs and halves..
Another average season awaits.
The forwards dominated.. and as already said i can't remember seeing a team have so much possession and territory and come away with pretty much nothing.

Didn't say it was all Platt's fault. However trying to take the winger out on the outside when there is about 10cm of room on the first tackle is only going to result in one thing, and that's the FB being taken into touch which is what happened in the 2nd half.
Also for KR's first try - his tackling was woefull. Yes it was a superb break and quick thinking on their part but I can't help thinking every other fullback in the league would have made it. As it was the KR man walked all over him.
Sure he caught the ball - that's his job - but what use is that if you never beat the first man - or pass it to the winger (!), which luckily he only did once today.
I'm not saying Platt's to soully to blame, but he isn't without fault either. McNamara sure didn't take him off for fitness reasons, it's because he is a liability IMO

I did not comment on the quality, I simply said we have to win these kind of games. And we do.

Ah, the old cliche. Does it not bother you that we played (in your opinion) well, yet failed to beat the mighty Hull KR? At home?

That we seemingly did not capitalise on. And KR seemingly did? As I said elsewhere, I thought the problems of last season were supposed to have been dealt with?
Heard some idiot on Radio Leeds radio McNamara out etc, thats ridiculous, considering we haven't had any games against SuperLeague opposition and they had Salford last week we played well, if we had of kicked out penalties and pratt hadn't have messed up then we would have won easily, Hull KR's defence was solid and deserve credit after taking some massive hits from Burgess, Koppy, Morro, Beaver and Scruton. Worried about injury news on Langley and Solo - Both shoulder dislocations, shame we don't have a game next week, we could do with the match fitness - I think we will do well this year and KR will defo finish in the top 5

Your Thoughts?
I think you will do well. not kr for top 5 though (not becasue I am fc), Bradford had the majority of possesion but you were rusty a good on form side would have damaged kr, they made a lot of errors however they are capable of long tries. Chins up boys like I said earlier you will get better I expext you in the top 5

Erm.... Whose fault is that?
Taking the call off last week out of the equation (I know we had a friendly lined up that we cancelled) we could still have arranged a tougher pre-season than we did.
As for your point about had "Platt not messed up". Assuming he did, again, why has this guy continued to get a place in the team and why does a certain person keep on picking him?

I would have sykes at full back every week - I don't know why he is on a 3 year deal, we should probably have signed Briscoe (KR) he's much more like a Bradford type player
