Just read this here it's pretty much the same thing on ITV teletext.

Tupou, who was represented at the tribunal by Leeds-based sports lawyer Richard Cramer, argued that he is able to train and is effectively not in breach of his contract but Bradford claimed the extent of his injuries mean an effective return is not imminent.

...

Bradford, who were represented at today's tribunal by chairman Peter Hood and head coach Steve McNamara, claim they were not told the extent of Tupou's injury.

About time some light was shed on the situation.

If he was fully fit maybe he would be good to use after all the Bulls view him as a "Utility player" maybe he could have a bash in the centres?

Only thing is, I wonder if this was the plan for getting Bird in? Tear up Tupou's contract and the wage and spot go to Bird? But that's part's gone south

might make sense - wasnt there an article in t&a a few weeks before we announced bird signing with tupou telling us what an impact he was going to make this year?. You wouldnt have thought club would allow him to do an interview in that vein if they were planning on releasing him at that point in time.

Signed. Went through pre-season. Played in a friendly (I think?). First proper match (may even have been a friendly still?) did his cruciate IIRC. Club "released" him, and TV, because neither would be fit to play within 6 months and under the terms of the contract the club could do that. Whether we'd have done so had the club not been desperate to free up cap-space for Harris (allegedly) is a separate issue.

That's my approximate recollection, but I suspect others will be able to add some accuracy.

koa love did his cruciate ligament away at wakefield in first game of season

I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying.

No he didn't because we didn't play Wakefield first we played Wigan the week after the WCC game against Penrith. Koa Love did do his knee against Wakefield but it was round 3.

In fact round 2 - thought had better look it up cos been despairing of my memory the more I read! TKL came off the bench in round 1 against the Pies - the match when Big Les got five.
