Sad sad news. What an inspirational man. Given months to live and he lasted 7 years, chose not to let it beat him and the work he did when he was so ill is an outstanding testament to the willpower and mental toughness he had. RIP Steve.

On a side note I didn't think a minutes silence was appropriate for this man so I was moved when the crowd gave him a minutes applause instead.

Despite us all knowing the awful illness he was battling it still comes as a shock to hear he has died. RIP Steve and thoughts with his wife and two kids.

Such sad sad news, RIP Steve you touched so many with your bravery, courage and commitment you will never be forgotten.
