Running scared (though I don't know why. We'd struggle to stay up without a points deduction) is Carter. Reading between the lines it wouldn't surprise me if Wakefield aren't far off an insolvency event. He wants to stop signing players and start living within his means. Doesn't matter if your debts aren't big if your income is love all. The ground only holds 5000 and they can't even fill that. The fact he's had to put up his own house as capital for finance prove they aren't cutting their cloth and he hasn't a pot to mickey in for underwriting losses. He'll reap what he sows.

I see we now have Richie Mathers in the papers moaning about the possibility of us getting some points back

Pretty obvious what their tactics are,pity they don't have as many tactics on the field

Disappointing, but not a great surprise from the Wakefield club. Which paper is it in Roger?

There's a little piece in today's Sun,only a couple of paragraphs but I reckon there will be noises coming out of Wakefield every couple of days till the appeal date

I think we should tell Carter to give us Sammut and Scruton back and we will drop the appeal. We will probably only get 2 points back anyway and those 2 players may get us more points through the season

Its a bloody cheek they have.

After speaking to someone at the Bulls last night, I have it on good authority that despite what was said by Mark Moore about Wakefield doing things correctly when signing Sammut and Scuton that it was in fact done on the dirty.

Wakey players made the contact with the said two, and we received a pricely sum of £7.5k per player!!!

If true, I really do hope that we get the points back and end up stuffing them!!!

Why would it not be true?

After all, if you want to come on here suggesting that you are somewhat "in the know" due to your "contacts", then you would think that you be trust them.

My contacts at the club tell me Bulls actually paid Wakey to take them off the wage bill.

There's certainly nothing in the administration accounts to show we received a penny in transfer fees.
