I thought Bates stood up really well last week, but I'd be a bit concerned about over-playing him at this stage. He is still a part-time player remember. Also I think I read somewhere that he took some heavy knocks last week and wasn't able to train earlier in the week.

Also seems a bit unfair to drop Olbison, who thought was decent last week.

He took his try well. If we have a strong set of fit players though, it's up to Franny to pick what he believes is the best for that particular game. It could also be that he's carrying a knock too.

I'll be honest I thought Olbison picked up a knock so was unsure if he was fit for this week :/

Got to keep Gaskell at fullback for me , kear , foster or George on wing hard to choose . How's longs ferguson out for ? Thought he and Donno would of been back this week ?

Heavy rain forecast for Sunday. Always seem To get drenched when we place saints at home. Works in our favour though, with saints's back line.
