A mate of mine bumped into Richard Francis in the middle east a bit back. He’s made it in business apparently.

Quick lad but as you say not the greatest catcher. Bit like Gerald Cordle.

Phil Ford had good pace and great elusive skills – shame he left in the way he did.

On the current lot we do have a bit of pace in Caro, Clare and Mullaney. It makes a change. In Caro we’ve a player who could really improve too.

Williams, Caro and Clare would be a good set of wingers to have at SL level IMO.

Jon Scales looked like he was going to be a great player didn't he? That was a shame as well.

Caro looks like a carthorse but just seems to go past people and make good metres. He's really deceptive. I noticed JP and Hobbo on the highlights criticised him for not backing himself but I like him.

On the centres Neilsen kept up with Olbison and Johnson in his first game so not that slow.

Omari unfortunately did not quite cut it at the top level when with us at KR. He did not seem to have that football brain where he could react instinctively. Often it seemed that by the time he had decided what to do it was too late. The most glaring instance was to miss a relatively easy winning try away to Salford in 2014. He is very fast and given early ball will make metres and score tries. He was our top try scorer last year, admittedly amongst a not too impressive bunch. The coaching staff saw promise but seemed unable to bring it out. Hopefully your coaching set-up will have more success.

When you consider three players with the pace of Caro, Williams and Clare, I'd have to say we never have had, certainly for as long as I can remember.
