Good win against Fax and Salford loose their final games and there's a reasonable chance the Devils might have to come back to the scene of one of their worst defeats of the season. Suppose the only downside to this scenario is a weak poorly supported team will have got another let off. Hope they have the cash to get Brian Smith a new car.

Well done for working out the maths.
Wakey have Sheffield so they will be above us.
We will know by tea time today whether Salford are pulled back into it.

My initial feeling last night is that we will be travelling for the £1m game - probably to Wakey. We owed Leigh yesterday and we now owe Wakey. I am happy with this. If we can't beat Wakey then we don't deserve to go up.
I wonder if they with give Smith and Locke a reprieve for that game. If not, then it could be game on.

Thought Seijka did OK yesterday. Blythe outplayed Nielson who has done absolutely nothing for me.
I am tempted to say rest half the team next Saturday and than put Mullaney at FB with Seijka and hopefully Gaskell in the halves. Gaskell can have a couple of short spells next week off the bench if fit.

Purts and Blythe in the centres with Clare and Williams on the wings.

If we can somehow get a fully fit first choice 17 for the Wakey game then anything could happen.
Wakey fans would be fools to think it will be easy this time around.

I would rest Mullaney to be honest... I get nervous every time he makes a break! He was concussed yesterday so will probably miss Saturday anyway

Sorry to put a damper on your conspiracy theory, but Whatever day they play Sheffield they know full well they will have to beat them, otherwise the probability of it all is that we will have to come to Bradford. If we both win and you put a cricket score on Fax which you have to assume they will be trying to do as we will against Sheffield, then it's a simple equation whatever the day, it will boil down to whether your good enough or not to amass enough points.

It does matter if we lose. Wakefield would then know they didn't have to win and could rest any players carrying injuries. How is that not an advantage?

PS - for the records I do not think it is a conspiracy just more evidence of the lack of thought that the RFL put in to these things. Just do what Sky want and ignore the integrity of the competition.

It doesn't change anything from our point of view and is certainly not a conspiracy. It will, however, mean that Wakefield know exactly what they need to do on Sunday to claim 4th spot, but their game plan won't change as a result of our match.
