Not a home game, because it would probably cost more to stage than it would generate.

The best draw would be a local team away. Keighley would be ideal, but someone like Rochdale or Hunslet would do

... which probably means we'll be at home to Siddal, or away to Toulouse.

Good draw give the back up players a chance need to keep our 1st choice fit for league thats important now,

Happy with that. dont have costs of staging fixture and we can realistically give a few fringe players a run out and still have a decent chance of progressing. Getting knocked out wouldnt be a disaster but would be useful to get to next stage and get a runout against a SL team a bit further into season to gauge whether we're improving.

Tough draw that, going well are Dewsbury. Should be a good crowd so a decent bit of money for both clubs.

I'd play the reserves (we may need them so let's see who is and isnt up to the task) but I think Jimmy will go full strength. Getting knocked out wouldn't be a disaster for us TBH

Having a look at the fixtures, it's the weekend before our very tough Easter period. I'd definitely play the reserves as I think we would need to go full strength for both London and Fax.

Interestingly there seems to be 3 free weekends this year so if we did go on a mini cup to run, we shouldn't have to start having mid week fixtures unless we make it to the quarters.

I don't get the logic of putting reserves into a cup game as there's every chance we'll get beaten (in fact there's a fairly good chance even at full strength; Dewsbury are not to be underestimated). The cup gives us the opportunity to get some extra revenue in and if we make it further, the potential of testing ourselves against Super League opposition.

Well the cup isn't a priority, promotion is. I don't see additional games as being conductive to that goal.
It's not really a big money spinner either. Cup games are notoriously low attendances in recent years.
Playing SL opponents in the cup doesn't mean much in the over all scheme of things. After all, Leigh beat both Salford and Wakefield in the cup last year and then absolutely choked in the middle 8's.
I wouldn't want us to play a full reserve side, but I wouldn't be apposed to a few of the fringe guys getting a run out.
