This is the sort of thing that amuses me.
That's the spirit.

At this moment in time we could pick up 4 points against Fax and London. Rest would be bad to watch.
But it may not be that fixture list. A lot can happen in the SL. We are cr*p now but who knows what may happen to our confidence if a really good coach & motivator turns up in the next few weeks and says he is bringing a couple of decent players with him for the rest of the season.
At this moment we have no chance but neither did Leicester a few months ago. Green knows a good appointment now could lift the club and as supporters we will all dream of winning that £1m game against Leeds at Headingley with all of the tries scored down the wing in front of the south stand. We can dream.
Sadly spot on. Doesn't make me feel enthusiastic about the point of thinking of a top dollar season pass for 2017. Not sure what would.
The only thing that could get me in the mood for a season ticket next season would be an inspired choice of new head coach. A change of personal at other senior positions.
I’d also like to see a more considered approach to player recruitment and promotion of some of our U19s.
If we’re going to be in the championship in the medium to long term lets plan a progression for those lads and do what Leeds did in SL but in the championship. We need to build a new side that includes players with a connection and loyalty to the club. We will probably lose some to SL but I’d rather watch these than somebody recruited on a whim and then sent on loan for a few weeks.

This is so reminiscent of the Wigan bored (sic) about 3 or 4 years ago. Everyone totally disillusioned with the club, sport, life in general, the RFL, everything. 6-fingered fans were not going to renew their season tickets for the first time in 167 years. Blah, blah, blah. A few games in the next season & their shiny red & white shell suit tops were out again as soon as they were on a winning streak. I just wish I could go there & remind them.

Bah! I have seven fingers and have been going far longer than 167 years.

This. I put something similar on the other thread. At the moment we've no chance of promotion. I would say we're even struggling to make top 4. We are the same amount of points away from the relegation places than what we are of second place.
BUT
nothing is decided now. I said on the other thread, we have good enough players, just not performing, individually or as a team. No consistency in line up due to giving everyone a go at HB. We've no no Hb so we lack creativity. Get a decent coach and a HB and this team will be transformed.
On Salford, yes they are much stronger than last year, only thing with them is they have a small squad. A few injuries and suddenly they could be vulnerable, just like KR.
But if we don't get the coach or HB situation right, we will finish bottom of 8s
It's simple, set Brian Smith on as coach and as long as he brings Thurston or Milford with him we're UP. Easy:-) As we stand we have less than no chance,BUT get a strong/EXPERIENCED Aussie coach and a decent half back, preferably Australian, and things could change very quickly. We have the players to win every game easily in the Championship if we get the right general, then we would be in a much better place come the MIDDLE 8's and at least give the likes of Leeds/Huddes a game.
There's about as much chance of us getting promotion as ts of Leicester winning the Premier League
Leicester appointed a shrewd, experienced coach They got bargain and experienced players in key positions The coach knows how to coach, how to instil self-belief, and confidence The coach knows the game plan that fits, and his plan is carried out to the letter every week Leicester started the season playing well, and got better whilst week on week the pundits were saying the wheels would fall off
Looking at that, we're a total and exact mirror image of Leicester
