Which in fairness does sometimes mention why Player X is replaced with Player Y.
If they pay attention to it. I'm not talking about season ticket holders who get e-mailed the squad every week. I'm talking about those more casual ones that will read T&A stories if they sound interesting, but ignore the filler. They'll notice the "Gaskell out for 12 weeks" headline, but won't pay attention to "Walshaw in line for first appearance".
I may not be hitting the nail on the head as far as the exact nature of it all, but I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that the reason they don't tell people the injury news is down to money. Almost every decision made by the club is down to that. Which I'm not necessarily saying is a bad thing considering previous regimes.
