It's a dead rubber. In our case, though, Rohan needs all the time he can get to begin the process of building for next season, yes he's started (and bloody well) but he's just scratched the surface, and probably doesn't even know all the young lads' names yet! So, whereas a game may be a dead rubber for the club, it is anything but that for a player, who is not guaranteed a first team spot (and some who may never have had one). that's why i can see us being more competitive than your average dead rubber, we have a lot of newcomers and maybe some to blood, and the tendency ought to be for them to do their damndest to make the most of any opportunity to impress the new boss.
Therefore whichever team we put out, I'm expecting us to put at least 50 on Swinton, assuming our creative trio all take the field for much of the game. Will be interesting to see what role young Keyes fills in the coming games, that lad looks very promising to me.
